We booked a room for one night after my wife's grandfather passed away, with less than two days to arrange hotels and flights. When checkout came, she asked to extend her stay so she could spend more time with family at the hotel. Reception staff told her to arrange the extension with them. A few hours later, she couldn't get into her room. The receptionist said she had to pay all the nights in advance. She asked if everything was okay and paid, but still wasn't allowed back in. The bellhop and then the hotel manager spoke to her in an inappropriate, demeaning way. She eventually got into the room, collected her travel documents, and left as soon as she could. In the lobby, the manager called the police to evict her. The two officers saw no reason to escort her since she'd paid and was leaving voluntarily. The staff showed no integrity, professionalism, or ethics. From the start, they acted in bad faith and weren't clear about their policies. They extorted her and kept her from her legal documents. On top of her grief, she had to endure this nightmare and felt helpless, harassed, and humiliated.

We were served raw chicken, and our pasta had a piece of wire sponge in it. The service was bad, and the included breakfast was cheap with no variety. The beds, sheets, and towels were old, too. They also stole about 100 USD worth of delicatessen they had agreed to keep in their refrigerator for us. Save yourself the bad experience.

The location is good, close to all the shopping areas. The people were very friendly and attentive, and made us feel welcome. Service was excellent, and the pool service was outstanding.
