Rosario Ecohotel

The dock is a great place to swim, sunbathe, or just relax. Staff were friendly and helpful, and bringing cash makes things easier on the island. There are only two breakfast choices, while lunch and dinner offer more variety. We booked both Deluxe Suites with Sea view at EcoHotel Casa Blanca. The view was a little underwhelming, but the rooms were spacious and worked perfectly for our family of four. The outdoor shower was lovely and warm, and the air conditioning worked well.

I liked the comfortable room, and the deck is a great place to spend a lazy Caribbean day in the sun. Food and drinks were good and reasonably priced compared with Cartagena. Staff were a mix, some friendly, others less so. The rule against bringing in outside food or drinks was the main issue. A man in a kayak came by selling drinks, and the hotel bartender said that if I bought one from him, an equivalent drink from the hotel bar would be added to my room bill. That seemed ridiculous to me. I think the rule is illegal and should be changed.

The hotel beach was lovely and less crowded than some others on the island, and the staff were very kind and helpful. We booked a really nice snorkeling trip through the hotel with Victor. The village is close, with local restaurants an easy walk away, and we'd recommend checking them out. Walking around felt completely safe, even in the evening.

The dock has comfortable places to sit, the location is good, and the massage was great. Lunch and dinner were tasty, though breakfast was very limited, with just two choices and small portions. The room felt a bit overpriced and was starting to look worn. Some windows were dirty, and one of our bathroom sinks didn't work. Staff were a mixed bag, with some very friendly and others less so.
