The room has a lovely valley view from the terrace, and the fireplace kept us warm at night. The bathroom was well equipped, and the room is very “insta friendly.” It's about 45 minutes from Medellin and 20 minutes from the airport. For the return trip, book a car in advance: there aren't many Ubers, and management won't help arrange transport. That view was the main plus for us. There wasn't much guidance about what to do nearby, and a welcome booklet with activities or help booking them would've been useful. We felt a bit trapped on arrival. Bring books and enough data. There was 4G, but no Wi-Fi. We took a walk, though the options are limited and you soon reach a busy main road. We stayed two nights at Salvaje Glamping. I wrote this to answer questions because booking information was sparse. The review is harsh, but not vindictive. In short, I don't recommend going. The location is beautiful, but the service was extremely poor and didn't justify the high price. I felt management openly lied to me through what seemed like deceptive ways of getting more money from guests. At the current price, I don't think the hotel is worth it. I'd lower it by 50-60%. Radiata House or a cabin listed on AirBnb might offer a similar but much better experience. Nothing was included in the room price. You're in the woods with almost no transport and only one restaurant nearby, and it isn't very romantic. We felt we had no choice but to buy their overpriced food: 35,000 for a burger and fries, 25,000 for breakfast. We also weren't allowed to bring our own food or drinks. I had to pay 40k extra for the eight beer cans I'd left in the trash. The manager said it was policy and supposedly stated on the website and in the reservation confirmation, but I couldn't find it on the website and never received a confirmation. The manager brought wood for the fireplace without me asking or mentioning it would cost extra, then charged me at checkout. After paying cash, I also had to ask for my change because the manager had “forgotten.” Service was very bad. When we arrived, I felt like I was bothering them by asking them to open the gate. We had to request some things, like glasses and an opener for the wine they supply, three times, then gave up. After the first night, we found there was no hot water in our room and ended up changing rooms. We waited around 30 minutes for someone to come. The arrival was odd too: they rushed us to the room, had nothing for us to sign, didn't ask for my passport, and didn't show us around. That may be fine, but it was strange when we expected a normal hotel experience. There was no sign of what to do around the hotel, which added to the trapped feeling. The management's behavior is enough for me to say people should stay far away, because they don't deserve your money. If you do choose to stay, I'd suggest one night only. It's an overpriced Instagram room, nowhere near the romantic getaway you might imagine. The name fits in a way: glamour room prices with camping-level service. Be prepared for that.

Really great.

That view and the quiet setting are what I keep thinking about. It feels dreamy out there, away from all the noise. The place is spotless and thoughtfully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable. They even had extra blankets if needed. Service was very good throughout, from the directions and lodging to the warm hospitality and food. The evening bonfire was a lovely thing to do. I want to come back!!!
