Sonesta Hotel Bucaramanga

The hotel is comfortable and conveniently located for shops and restaurants, but the staff were the best part. Franklin and David at the front desk, Senor Roque the bellman, and the lovely housekeeper on the 11th floor, always smiling, all made us feel welcome. The breakfast waiters and everyone else were pleasant and helpful too.

I slept so well every night that I really didn’t want to leave. The bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable I’ve ever had. We came to see my partner’s family nearby, and I’m glad I chose this hotel. The staff were amazing, breakfast was spot on, and there was even a pool, though it’s closed on Mondays. The hotel connects to the shopping centre below and the nearby shopping centres, so getting around was easy. Taxis were simple to find outside for trips around the city and to and from the airport. The location was great, and I’ll stay here next time I visit.

The staff were the best, always kind and helpful, even with the Spanish-English language barrier. Breakfast is included, but it was basically the same each day and got repetitive. The pancakes had no food warmer, so they’d turn cold and hard after a while. Wi-Fi was great the first week, then in the second week it kept dropping every 10 to 15 minutes, which was annoying.

The room was very well equipped, with a comfortable bed and bedding, a soundproofed room, and a great view. Staff said all the rooms have city views, and mine certainly did. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was pleasant, with plenty of fruit and juice. I even tried room service because the menu looked so appetizing. The location is second to none, with a shopping mall full of food options and shops right below the hotel, though the shops close early, around 7 pm.
