The restaurant next door had great food for the price. At the hotel, the guy at the desk couldn’t find my reservation and first tried to put us in a smaller room. We eventually got to see the room we’d booked and told him that was what we paid for. We stayed a day, had coffee, then left for another hotel.

They hadn’t received my reservation, but made an effort to clean a slightly upgraded room for me at no extra cost. Good room for the price.

The location is handy, right across from the University of Cundinamarca, and there’s no real competition in the area. It’s clean and comfortable, though it feels a little damp. The building is old, and it shows in the small rooms. They have a small desk and an old cable TV. Sometimes nobody is at the front desk, so waiting at the entrance to get in is uncomfortable.

The rooms are decent for the price, though traffic noise from the main avenue gets in. The view from the upper floors is nice.

For the price, I wouldn’t ask for more. The room was clean, had warm blankets, and the bathroom had hot water. It isn’t especially attractive, but a street-facing room has a pleasant view and lots of daylight. It has everything I’d expect from a budget hotel.
