Atsarat Guest House

Garik and his family have put a lot of care into making this lovely place feel like home. It’s a tucked-away paradise in Gavar, and a great base for seeing Lake Sevan and the beautiful area around it.

Garik and Lena were so welcoming and helpful, and Lena’s cooking was wonderful. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and very clean, with tasteful decorations. Garik even built part of the place himself. We stayed here on our way back to Yerevan. It can be a little tricky to find, but mobile navigation worked fine, and there’s private parking. A lovely courtyard that’s both interesting and beautiful, and a good spot for family fun. The service felt warm and caring.

The lavash, pie, and other Armenian dishes were the focus of a master class we took. Garik also shared the story, showed us his museum, and walked us around the whole site. We had an unforgettable time and will come back. The hosts were wonderful, the food authentic Armenian, and the rooms comfortable. There’s a sauna, too. If you want to experience the real Armenia, this unique place is highly recommended.
