The room itself was alright, but there were holes in the floor for tree branches and mosquitoes got in. The breakfast area had plenty of them too. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8, which felt quite late, and construction workers were making noise on site from 6 to 6:30 in the morning. The floor was unfinished concrete, very dirty if you touched it or set anything down on it, with no polyurethane or similar coating. The bed was double at best, not queen size. When I was checking out and carrying my things down the stairs, a rotten step broke under me. I managed to catch myself and avoid falling from the second floor, but crushed my finger, knee, and hip. The owner’s only response was “sorry!” They didn’t offer help or anything. Nobody there speaks English, of course. Basically, the service was like elsewhere in Colombia, non-existent. This country isn’t ready for non-Colombians.
