We had a great lunch at La Trucha Muisca, then spent the day fishing with the family. The hosts, restaurant staff, and fishing staff were all really friendly. There are three good-sized ponds, plenty of parking, clean bathrooms, and dogs are welcome. The grass is high and everything is lush. Both the dough bait they provide and our spinners worked. Staff can help you fish, but if you know what you're doing, they'll let you get on with it. A little rain sent us to one of the covered picnic tables by the first lake, which was perfect. Fishing costs $10,000 COP per person, and dough bait is $5,000 COP. You put your catch in their buckets without cleaning it. At the end they weigh it whole and charge $17,000 COP per lb. Our fish were all just under a lb, a good size to eat. We'll be back! Update 08/10: We returned on a Saturday. They open at 08:30 AM, but nobody was at the store or restaurant. We had our own poles, gear, and bait, so we let them know by WhatsApp that we were fishing and headed out. The fish were biting like crazy, and the kids had a blast.

It's also a perfect spot to get away and rest somewhere isolated. For sport fishing, they've got what you need, and if you catch a fish, the staff will prepare it for you. I'm sure you'll love it.

Comfy beds, a nice breakfast, and a lovely view made this a great place to spend the weekend.

If you go fishing, the place is fine, but the restaurant was a nightmare. The pasta was bad and came with grated farmer's cheese. They also charge you again to cook a trout you've caught yourself. My bill was $549,000. Huh?

We took one look at the place and left right away. What they say they offer doesn't match reality. After reading the string of lies on their website, they even told us to our faces that it was "just wishful thinking." It's a very rustic place, and these aren't cabins, just rooms with beds. Cleanliness was really poor, close to bad. We didn't get to try the food, but the state of the place left a lot to be desired. We had already paid half the reservation fee and they kept the money. If comfort matters to you, I wouldn't go.
