The accommodation was reasonably priced, and the owner was friendly, laid-back, and helpful.

We arrived completely worn out after a trip of more than eight hours, only to be told they wouldn't give us a room. They don't honor agreements or reservations made ahead of time. After all the effort of getting to a place like Guican, we nearly lost our chance to see the magical snow-capped mountain. Ask your guides or agencies to point you to reliable places so you don't end up in our situation.

The service was awful and dismissive, and nobody offered a solution. We don't recommend this hotel. A week before our two-night stay, we contacted the owner, got confirmation that rooms were available, and sent the requested information. They said we didn't need to pay a deposit because we already had our park entrance fees and a guide hired. But on the agreed day, after an eight-hour drive from Bogotá and arriving near town, we were told our places had been given to other people. They could only put us up for one night as a “favor,” since the following nights were fully booked, as they were at most places in the area.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. We had booked two nights, then, two hours after our flight from Bogotá, they told us they could only host us for one night. We had written to confirm, too. Such a lack of respect and kindness. There are plenty of other places with good prices and quality.
