Hotel Monarca

The location wasn't great, and the room problems kept piling up. My first room was tiny, with a broken window, a warm fridge, and faulty plugs. After switching rooms, I found the toilet was broken too, so I had to move again, this time to a worse room. Music blared late into the night. A terrible stay.

I came away with great memories. The hotel felt cozy and welcoming, and I’m grateful for that.

I paid online for nine days, but left early because they wouldn’t clean the room or change the towels. The room I got was filthy and had no working WiFi. They also tried to overcharge me. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels in Colombia, and this was the worst. At least my things weren’t stolen while I was out, though nobody went into the room anyway.

For the price, this is the best deal around. The rooms are on the small side, but they’re clean, breakfast and parking are included, and the staff are very helpful. It’s also really close to park Lleras, envigado and sabaneta.
