We couldn't relax at all, and this place isn't for peace or quiet. We booked the most expensive room after being told the techno music would stop in an hour, even with lots of children in the pool and adults drinking. It felt like a party. We paid, but the music kept going. When we asked for a refund, the owner said we'd already been in the room for an hour, which was true because we were waiting for the music to stop. We couldn't get all our money back. The music finally stopped four hours later, then started again at breakfast, and we had to ask for it to be turned off again. Day use of the pool costs 8,000 pesos, while we paid 180,000 pesos to be around noise, drinking, and children. The hotel needs to decide what kind of place it wants to be, because people won't pay that much for noise. It's a shame, since the place has fantastic potential. To the owner: don't say things that aren't true to get people's money. Tell the truth, or take control of the hostel you own and manage. That's why I give it one star.
