Baum hotel

The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the views are stunning. There’s great WiFi, a pool, a pool table, work areas, parking, and a restaurant on site with very good food. Parque de Cafe is only 10 minutes away and is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back!

Really nice place, though the rooms don’t have a refrigerator or safe. The rest is excellent!

The farm is lovely for a family or friends’ stay, and the cleanliness was excellent. We felt comfortable, but the mattress was a bit firm and could use improvement. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. I was disappointed that breakfast was the same each day, with no other options, and the flavor wasn’t great. The included meal was always scrambled eggs, Perico or Ranchera style, though it didn’t come with ranchera sausage, just basic sausage. It also came with a dry arepa, butter, farmer’s cheese, and either pineapple or papaya. In my opinion, they need a professional chef who can make different dishes each day. The ponies are beautiful, but it made me sad to see so many flies on their faces and bodies. I think they need repellent. Poor things!

We had a difficult experience with the hotel after our daughter had a medical emergency in Ibagué during our trip from Bogotá and had to be admitted to the emergency room. We notified the hotel right away and explained that this was a force majeure situation beyond our control. Their only response was to tell us to cancel through Booking.com so the hotel wouldn’t have to pay the commission. They offered no other consideration or refund option, even though the emergency could be verified. Eventually, they offered to let us use the reservation within a year, but given what happened, we feel a refund would be fairer. We hope the hotel reconsiders, since medical emergencies call for empathy and fairer solutions for guests.
