The Journey Hostel

I loved being able to unplug for most of the trip and watch birds and iguanas in the trees. Everything felt very affordable, and we had a unique stay. The hosts and staff were accommodating and helped us sort out tours, activities, and taxis. You get a wristband to wear while you’re there, then pay when you check out. I hope I can visit this hostel again.

The pool area was a highlight, with an incredible view and a great place to unwind after a long day. The location is convenient too, close to the Tayrona National Park entrance, so it was easy to get there early. At Journey Hostel I met loads of great people, and the atmosphere felt more like a little community than a hostel. The nightly family dinners were a big bonus, with really good food and an easy way to connect with everyone. David at reception was especially friendly and helpful, and made the experience even better.

For my mother’s 72nd birthday, I took her horseback riding and we had an excellent time racing horses along the beach and trail. The guide was really good, even though he didn’t know any English. The staff were great too. It was a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely do it again and stay at the hostel next time.

Such fun vibes, and I love the staff here. For a hostel, the rooms are really nice. The pool, views, food, and drinks are amazing, and breakfast is included. Great value for the price. Thanks to the team!!!
