Ayenda 1231 Paradise Center

This was a horrible place to stay. They overcharge for everything, then say it's because the new girl doesn't know what she's doing. Everything was uncomfortable, and the shower was freezing cold. There are no shower curtains, so water splashes everywhere. Some of the women on staff are nice, but I'm very disappointed with the service overall and wouldn't recommend it to friends or family. It wasn't worth the money, and it was one of the reasons I left Medellin.

We arrived around 19:00 expecting the room we'd booked through Booking two days earlier. The woman there seemed not to know what Booking was and calmly told us the room had already been taken, without any apology. She offered us a much less elegant room for the same price as the one with the jacuzzi. If you want to risk searching for another room at short notice that evening, go ahead and book this hotel!

Hotel Paradise Centre can be a good deal, though they often give you a room that's worse than the price you paid would suggest. I'd go for the cheapest room, it could be okay. The beds are acceptable, but use a small pillow and change the cover. Some of the old windows are broken. For a few days, the street noise is manageable.

The train is right in front, and the woman who checked me in was nice. I don't speak much Spanish, but everything went well. A good find, and I'd definitely stay here again.
