Ayenda 1258 Boutique Laureles Home

I spent 12 nights in a triple room with a terrace overlooking the front street. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with modern bathrooms, and extra blankets if you get cold. I’d pay a little more for a triple rather than a double because of the extra space. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and always smiling. The hotel is right in the heart of Laureles, on a nice tree lined street across from a supermarket, with restaurants within walking distance. There’s a bakery right underneath that opens early for coffee and breakfast. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi needs to be stronger. Aside from that, I was more than happy with my stay. I booked a double room for 3 nights, but they checked me into a tiny room where I could barely open my suitcase. With it open, I had to squeeze between the suitcase and bed. There was no hot water, and I didn’t get the breakfast that was included in my booking. No one here speaks English. When I tried to explain how unfairly I’d been treated, they ‘allowed’ me to pay $15 for the tiny room, which was more expensive than the double room I should have had with my Genius discount. Applause for the worst business in Medellin. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

They advertise parking, but after driving all the way here, I found they didn’t have any. It doesn’t look boutique either. Adios!

There’s a great restaurant under the hotel. A Swiss couple runs it, and it’s excellent.
