I nearly talked myself out of booking here, but taking the chance turned out to be an incredible decision. The atmosphere was fantastic, and El Negro, the host dog, is the best. It’s near the metro station, so getting around the whole city was easy. I was blown away and will be back. Thanks, Sebas and Juan.

El Solar felt cozy and warm, like home. I was there on vacation in Medellin and couldn’t find anywhere else with that same feeling. There’s even a dog wandering around the house 🥹❤️ I’ll book again without hesitation next time I return to Colombia.

We came across this hostel on Airbnb while planning a Medellín trip with a friend for the Flower Festival. Even in peak season, the prices were fair. I loved the double room: cozy and cute, with enough room to store our things and hang our bags. Those little chairs on the hangers were such a lovely detail! The common areas were tidy and clean, and the art, antiques, tiles, and stained glass made the house feel like home. The location is handy, near San Javier train station and the graffiti tour in Comuna 13. El Negro and Sebastián were amazing hosts. I hope to come back. 🏠🎉

The hosts are so friendly, and the rooms are super clean. It’s also very close to Comuna 13. Excellent place, I can’t recommend it enough!

I was here for work, but the cozy house made me feel at home. The cabins are much more spacious than at other hostels, and everything is very clean. I loved it and would definitely stay again.
