Hotel Casa Mayor La 70

The road-facing side gets a lot of noise because it has an open balcony. Staff were lovely and breakfast was good. It was pricey during our stay, though the whole city may have been booked up for a concert.

Breakfast was fantastic, and the friendly staff were glad to answer questions about the area. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself is a lovely little place. A few small things needed attention, like uneven trim and a loose shower handle that took some fiddling to get the water right.

When I arrived, nobody was there except a maid, who said the hotel was full and sent me across the street to another hotel. She didn't know the nightly rate and said she was there alone. It was disappointing to find out that no one else seemed to be running the place, and they don't answer the phone either. I do not recommend it.

The staff were great and very attentive. My room had interior windows facing a passageway that was open at the far end, so street and metro noise came through. There was no ventilation in the bathroom.
