Hotel Lomas 10

Room 702 had a broken window latch, so the window stayed slightly open for the one night I was there before the manager offered to move me. The place was very clean and in a nice location, close to everything I wanted to see. Most places we needed were a 5 to 10 minute cab ride away, except the airport. There’s no iron, and WiFi is spotty. You have to ask for the password at check-in because they don’t offer it. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you don’t speak Spanish well, I’d suggest downloading Google translator. Breakfast was enough for an average person, and the chef can make typical options like an omelette. There’s only one small elevator, used by everyone including housekeeping, so hopefully no more than five people need to go up at once. Mine worked fine the whole time, but walking several flights if it needed service would be upsetting. The lobby has music but doesn’t feel inviting, and redecorating might help. During my stay, the dining area was closed for a private event for a soccer team and a kids’ birthday party; it was decorated nicely. The cute receptionist mentioned they were getting another new hotel in June. Hopefully it’ll have more than one elevator.

The jacuzzi has the best view at night, and we had an amazing time. This small, cozy hotel is beautiful, and the employees were really helpful, including Jose, Camilo, Santiago, and Andres. Emanuel was especially great. He’s funny, gave us lots of good tips for visiting the city, and helped with everything we needed at the hotel.

The hotel was cute and intimate, and just a short walk from Provenza. The evening staff were really attentive and nice. The rooftop spa was broken when we arrived, but they got it working just in time for our last night. We loved our stay and the attention we received.

We found a street with a park and lots of cafes and shops after about a 15-minute walk one afternoon. Lomas 10 was close enough to activity, but not right in the middle of it. I never really worked out where I was in Medellín during my week there, though. The people at Lomas 10 were so nice and helpful, the room was very nice, and the bed was comfortable. I can definitely give five stars for the room and service, and I’m guessing for the location too. :-)
