Hotel Marat suite

It’s a fly hotel.

The situation with access to my room was alarming: while I was out, someone who wasn’t authorized went in, apparently with staff consent. Staffing also seemed far too thin for the number of rooms. Over the whole week I was there, they cleaned my room just once. Deplorable.

The facilities were comfortable and the service was good, and we liked the place overall. One thing that really bothered us was the doorbell. It rings loudly through the hall and even into the rooms whenever someone arrives. My girlfriend jumped every time it went off. People come here to rest, so I think they should fix it. This is meant as a suggestion to make guests more comfortable, not a criticism. We also had someone open our room door in the middle of the night. That’s very concerning, and the staff need to keep better control of room access. They should be careful about something this sensitive.

We traveled a long way, my fiancée and I, and ended up not sleeping at all. There was constant noise, mostly coming from staff. The bathroom and bed were dirty, the bathroom smelled awful, and there were cockroaches and other bugs everywhere. It felt disgusting, more like a motel than a hotel. Cheap rates don’t excuse the lack of basic cleanliness. The neighborhood also felt dangerous at night.
