There’s no elevator, so getting luggage up and down the stairs is a hassle. Still, the hotel is handy for exploring 70th Street or taking the metro, and rooms come in different sizes with different bed arrangements. The reception and cleaning staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. You can hear some street noise because it’s on 70th Street, but after a long day out, you’ll probably fall asleep and not notice it.

The young staff were excellent and very helpful. I had to take a street-facing room because the situation was urgent, and I couldn’t sleep that night because of the noise. They should put in tempered glass windows to cut it down. There was just one outlet for the five of us, no hot water, and not even towels on the bathroom floor.

For the price, it’s not too bad. The staff were friendly, the air conditioning worked efficiently, and the towels were good. They didn’t have a hairdryer when we asked. Also, the housekeeper marked the room as cleaned, but it had been missed that day. People with disabilities may find the access difficult.

The area is commercial, so take care at night. The beds were clean and the place generally pleasant, with a peaceful atmosphere. The TV didn’t work very well for me.

A friendly receptionist, clean and comfortable rooms, and a good location made for a good stay. The one thing I missed was liquid soap in the bathroom. Hotels usually have it.
