Hotel Suite Comfort

The rooms are expensive and basic, with damp bathrooms and a view of an air conditioning unit. It wasn't worth the money or the hassle. I booked and paid a deposit through hostelworld for a very busy holiday weekend, but when we arrived the hotel had no record of the reservation. They didn't apologize or take responsibility, just blamed a system problem. They could only give us one night's accommodation, so we had to scramble to find somewhere else at short notice when there was nothing else available in the city.

The way they handle extra charges feels very unfriendly to guests, and the costs aren't made clear. The rooms were dirty, cramped, and not very practical. The location wasn't great either. As a western European, I really wouldn't recommend staying here.

The breakfast was decent, and the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. It's in a fairly quiet part of town. My room was clean, but really small, especially the tiny bathroom and shower, and the window looked straight at a wall. I also found the stern lecture about extra charges for having any guest, even for just two minutes, a pretty heavy-handed way to welcome people.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with plenty of choice and fresh things each day. The rooms were spotless, and the staff were excellent. It's close to la 70 but far enough away that the noise doesn't carry. I'll be staying here in Medellin again.
