The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the terrace common areas were a lovely place to sit, have a drink, or get some work done. It would have been nice to invite people up for dinner, but that wasn’t allowed while we were there. The location feels more local and authentic, and the views over the city are some of the best. A couple of things felt out of place for the price and general quality: the bedsheets were polyester, and although the kitchenette had plenty of equipment, there wasn’t a cloth or anything to wipe down the counters after cooking.

The noise from traffic was almost unbearable through the thin windows. I could barely hear during online work meetings, even though the place is advertised as a good spot to live and work. The Wi-Fi was terrible too. Each room supposedly has its own network, but I couldn’t connect to any of them during my five days, so I had to work on the roof or in common areas, which wasn’t always practical for meetings. There were ants constantly coming in and out of the walls. If I dropped even a crumb, hundreds could appear within minutes. Roaches also came out from under the cabinets at night. When I arrived, there was food left in the refrigerator; I just threw it away without complaining, but after a few days the dirty fridge seemed like a sign of poor management. They also don’t make it clear that guests have to pay to wash the towels and bed sheets provided by the hotel. I was told there was a washer and dryer for clothes, not that I’d need to wash the linens myself. There’s only one washing machine, and a wash and dry load costs 20,000, with detergent not included, so you have to buy it locally. I booked two weeks, but after five days I’m cancelling the rest and finding somewhere else. If you’re staying more than a day, I wouldn’t choose this place, especially if you need reliable internet for work.

I found the place expensive for what it offers, with prices about three times the average. The rooms are small, and the closets are so tiny they’re practically useless. They also ask guests for a “damage deposit” that is supposed to be returned at checkout. Four months later, none of the money had been returned to anyone, and I had to sue them. The administration was terrible. I felt they saw guests as walking wallets rather than customers, and I don’t think you can trust what they tell you. They say they’ll clean the apartment, but you have to beg day and night for it, and they keep lying. The area is noisy and dirty, with no quiet hour, and I didn’t feel safe there because there were too many homeless people around. There were also lots of roaches in the apartment, plus constant trouble with the internet and water. My worst experience living in Medellin. Don’t stay here if you want to avoid trouble and headaches.

The rooftop jacuzzi and hangout area made it easy to have fun together, and I made a lot of great friends here. The staff and other guests were welcoming and easy to approach. The rooms were clean and practical, and the location is close to downtown. It was a great stay, and I can’t wait to come back to Medellin.

I had a good month here in some ways, especially because I met amazing people from around the world. The place is loud, though, with cars and buses going by, and the jacuzzi, while nice in the evening until 10 pm, doesn’t always work. The worst part was bed bugs in my bed. I had bites all over and had to throw out all my clothes. I showed the owner photos, but he didn’t do anything, and it seemed like they didn’t believe me. When I tried to book a second month, they quoted me $950, which was $300 more than the $650 I’d paid before. A local friend of mine who did the same was offered less than $500. If you’re not local, be careful and compare options, since some places like this one may charge you more.
