Iris Hostel Medellín

Iris Hostel was our favourite hostel in Colombia. We loved the atmosphere, and they brought breakfast out to each of us every morning. Alessandro was a fantastic owner, and the rest of the staff were just as great. We first stayed at another hostel that was more established, but we preferred Iris’ location and feel. The rooms, facilities, and cleanliness were all top notch. Our only regret is that we’re writing this six months after our stay. We hope Iris gets the recognition it deserves! The balcony was a nice place to relax and watch people go by, and the hostel’s cozy feel made it a lovely base for exploring Medellin. It’s near plenty of bars, restaurants, and the metro. Staff were friendly, knew a lot about what to see and do, and could speak English, Spanish, and Italian. Breakfast is included, with arepas, sandwiches, fruit, and coffee. Clean, well located, and easy to recommend.

I’ve been here for two weeks and am sorry to be leaving soon. The hostel is very clean, and the facilities all seem new. The staff are great and always ready to help with whatever you need. Breakfast is good, and it’s close to the metro and a street lined with bars, restaurants, shops, and more. I’d definitely recommend Iris Hostel Medellin and will come back.

I spent a week here in the middle of June and met some great people. The staff were always ready to help and share information, and the location is very good, close to nice restaurants. A wonderful place.
