The discotecas nearby get loud from around 11pm until 4am, so bring decent ear protection and sleeping meds from Drogueria Via if you're not staying up to party. That makes the place a better fit for people who want nightlife but would rather keep their accommodation low-key. My private suite was at the back, with a double bed and a smaller twin; both were okay, with proper sheets and pillows. It was clean, and I checked for bugs without finding any. The private bathroom was alright, and the shower got warm, though not very hot. It's a pretty good location for that kind of trip. No AC.

I was there for three weeks in a private room with a bathroom. The hostal was clean, security was very good, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The location is great. Possibly the best Colombian food around, though it's lunch only, and the place is always full of locals. Highly recommend.
