Nock

We paid $1,173 for 8 nights in Unit 702, and had serious problems throughout the stay. Rain flooded water inside the apartment, as shown in the photos, and the walls stayed damp with excess humidity the whole time. The bathroom smelled of sewage, the internet connection was seriously unreliable all week, and severe noise ruined our first night. Noise violations continued despite their “strict 10pm quiet policy.” We reported everything right away and shared photo and video evidence. A technician came, but no repairs were completed during our 8-day stay. After checkout, we asked for reasonable partial compensation. Standout Rentals refused a refund, blamed the water coming in on “severe weather,” offered only a discount on a future stay, and wouldn't give us management's contact details when we asked to escalate. They told us they were “not authorized to issue refunds” and that their policies didn't allow it. A properly maintained apartment shouldn't flood in the rain. The building location and staff are good, but Nock / Standout Rentals doesn't maintain its properties and won't take responsibility when things go wrong. For over $140/night, this is completely unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.
