Seven Inn Hotel

Odd hotel, though there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes within a 10 minute walk. We had a very large room with three double beds for two people, but the bathroom would probably feel very cramped with three or more guests. The rainfall shower was good. The soaps were poor quality, there were no tissues, and we couldn’t get the safe to work or turn off the air conditioning. Our smoke alarm batteries went off at midnight. The overnight receptionist and doorman came up right away, but the alarm wasn’t replaced during our three night stay. Breakfast was very limited, with no juice or cereal and only an egg-based main. The receptionist understood very little English. That might be acceptable at the haciendas we stayed in, but not at a 4-star hotel. Others in our group had small issues too, and the single room is so tiny you couldn’t open a suitcase in it.

The rooftop lounge has a panoramic view of Medellin that makes you want to linger, and there’s a hot tub/Jacuzzi up there too. It’s a chic, clean hotel with a great coffee and drink bar. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and nice. Small, cozy rooms, but they had what I needed. Good for solo travelers, couples, or groups.

Low end, with badly laid out rooms. The shower design is poor and the bathroom keeps flooding. Some rooms have no windows, and there’s too much noise outside. I don’t recommend it.

The location in Medellin is great, and the hotel is modern. My only issues were the mediocre breakfast and the water pressure in the rooms.
