Finca Hotel El Palmar

Fanny, Andre’s, and their family were excellent hosts, and the food, service, and atmosphere were all great. We came from Canada and were very pleased with our stay. Finca Hotel El Palmar was just what we wanted, a beautiful place in the countryside near Armenia where we could enjoy some quiet and a cultural experience.

The food and staff were excellent, and it was such a relaxing place to stay. The finca also made a great base for visiting coffee fincas or Salento. We enjoyed seeing so many birds from the balcony and garden, and the finca and its rooms and garden are stunning. Finca Hotel el Palmar was a highlight of our Colombia trip. We'd stayed at this finca about 10 years ago and were happy to return.

Fanny and Andres and the rest of the staff were wonderful. They were very accommodating about my dietary restrictions, and I loved spending time with the cat and dogs on the property. A beautiful place where you feel welcomed into someone's home. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We spent a week here, and the team did so much to make it a special stay. When we found the mattress too hard after the first night, they swapped it for another. They also adjusted the menu for the varied dietary needs of our group of 7, and arranged raft trips down the river, horse riding, and a visit to the owners' coffee plantation. They really went out of their way for us. The buildings and rooms look just as beautiful as the photos. It's about a 10-minute drive from the cute town of Montenegro and even closer to Parque del Cafe. Without our own transport, we had them call a taxi, which cost about 15,000 COP to Montenegro. Our only challenge was paying, since our international banks wouldn't let us use Wompi. Very highly recommended.
