Hotel Campestre Las Camelias

The rooms worked really well for our family, with plenty of space and useful things like a TV, Wi-Fi, towels, and a toiletries kit. There are games for kids and places for adults to have fun too, including discos. I especially liked how close it is to the parks.

The resort is kept in good shape, and the staff were excellent. It’s easy to get around with a wheelchair or stroller, and there are lots of play spaces for children, including a little theme park with rides. The pool is huge, with hot tubs, a lazy river, and a small kids’ park. We came for the New Year’s Eve party, which had loads of food, though the music was extremely loud. The drink choices were oddly limited to rum or whiskey, with Coke or iced tea, and no wine or lemonade; water was the only other option. When nearby family came to visit, they were nearly restricted to seeing us in the lobby for just an hour. Some strange rules.

The staff were nice, and it was good for kids. My son was especially into the water park, large pools, and train. My parents and husband enjoyed the stay too. A few rooms had a strong musty smell, and I couldn’t figure out why. I asked to move, and they accommodated me without any trouble.

The kids had a good time with the pool and activities, though some activities cost extra. The rooms were very clean and service was good, but the prices felt way too high for what you got. Breakfast was just average, and the dinner buffet was poor quality for the price. I was also charged for a beer I hadn’t ordered. A basic burger, fries, and small Coke came to almost 100k pesos, and the fries were cold and greasy. A frozen coffee was 40k pesos, while a simple café con leche with dinner cost another 20k. There wasn’t any complimentary water or coffee in the room, which surprised me at about 1 million pesos a night.
