Even the deluxe room we chose was awful: it felt like sleeping in a shop inside a mall that had never opened or had gone out of business. The windows were walled up, the floors cold and dirty, and the soundproofing was practically nonexistent. The phone rang all night, and you could hear anyone coming through the door. Then, in the private parking area, someone scratched the side of our car while moving it and refused to take responsibility. We’ll certainly pursue legal action. A disaster as a hotel and in the way they handle customers. Avoid it.

The breakfast was fine for the price, though the restaurant staff always looked annoyed, like serving it was a favor. My room was downstairs by reception, and the noise made sleep really difficult: workers played the TV loudly in the evening, and even at midnight it felt like I was watching movies with them. I could also hear people calling and talking to the receptionists, and walking around. Earplugs barely helped. I’d say two nights maximum unless you get an upper floor. If you’re a light sleeper, ask for the second or third floor.

Breakfast up on the rooftop patio was divino, and the hotel was great value for my week in Neiva. There’s an exito nearby, along with loads of restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. My room was clean and comfortable, with a great TV and air conditioning. The wifi was great too.

The location seemed rough at first, but it turned out to be quite okay, and the staff were good when I arrived. After that, things went downhill, mainly because there was no hot water and the shower head was missing. I wanted to leave early, so I didn’t bother mentioning it.
