The staff, especially the women working here, made us feel welcome. They were patient and cheerful even when communicating with guests who don’t speak Spanish, which can’t be easy. The food was great, and the cabins were cleaned daily. This is a jungle setting, so expect mosquitoes and that sticky feeling. There’s no hot water, though the cool showers feel really nice once you get used to them. There’s no air conditioning either, but the fans were perfect at night. Iguanas are everywhere, the birds sound beautiful, and it was amazing to watch the bamboo grow so fast. Our kids loved having other children around and using the pool. You’re close to the town’s Main Street, with lots of really good restaurants. We had a very pleasant stay.

Nice natural setting and a good location, but I wouldn’t give it five out of five. The rooms feel pretty worn. It seems like better value for a family than for one person or a couple, since some accommodation buildings include kids’ rooms. Breakfast was okay.

The beach and main street are close, yet the hostel sits in a really quiet spot away from the crowds. The pool was just the right temperature, the loungers were lovely, and everything was clean. It made for a great mix of relaxing and enjoying yourself. We felt at home at this beautiful, family-run hostel. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, with good tips for daytime trips and places to eat. We highly recommend it!

The breakfast and service were really, really good, and many thanks to the owners and whole team, especially Tatiana, Nairobi and her colleague. We had an incredible family stay in this beautiful little paradise, one of the best places to stay in Palomino. We’ll definitely be back! ☺️

We spent 10 days at nuba with our two kids and were very happy with the accommodation. The garden is beautiful, well kept, and safe for children to play in, and the pool makes it even better. The owners were friendly and helped arrange airport and city transfers. Breakfast was good, and you can also have lunch and dinner there. It’s a great spot if you want to relax in nature while staying close to the beach and all the restaurants.
