Hotel Tucan

It was acceptable.

The rooms are small, but they have what you need, and I like the hotel. Right now, though, I'm dying inside. It seems they don't understand what it means to respect people's sleep. It's 9:40 PM and the music is blasting while people talk as if they have megaphones. I came here just to sleep, and all I need is somewhere quiet where I can fall asleep. This is incredibly uncomfortable.

The room leaked when it rained and felt damp, though I appreciated being moved to another hotel while that was addressed. The bigger headache was the booking. At check-in the receptionist couldn't work out who had made the reservation, and the process dragged on because they seemed unsure even though I'd booked more than a month ahead. I understood that I'd been charged too little at first, but I wasn't asked to pay extra then. The day before I was due to leave, I got a call while having lunch saying I had to leave that day or pay more. I'd already given them my dates well in advance and paid the amount they'd quoted. The manager was kind when I finally spoke with him, and I didn't have to pay the extra, but the whole thing was very unpleasant. It's cheap, and the rooms are just about adequate for sleeping. I wouldn't recommend staying there.

A budget-friendly choice, but the room was tiny and the TV didn't work.
