The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the hotel and spacious rooms were clean. My main issue was the mattress, which felt quite flat and hard and wasn't comfortable. There was an iron and a small fridge in the room, but no microwave, and the hotel doesn't provide face towels.

I slept well on the bed, but the room had several problems. It was noisy on a busy street, there was no air conditioning or fan, and the hot water didn't work on the first day. Only one sink handle worked. There were gaps between the window panes big enough to put your fingers through.

I was on an upper floor at Hotel San Martin, close to several shopping malls. I stayed there in May 2019 after the host institution kindly booked me a suite. It was more like a small apartment, with a very comfortable room, a kitchen, and a living room.
