Reserva Natural Rancho Camaná

We had a morning birding trip with a guide around the garden and nearby. The two german sheperd dogs were well behaved, and our room was clean and spacious with a lovely garden view, a warm shower, good breakfast, and comfy beds. Marta welcomed us so warmly, like a sweet grandma looking after you. She made a lovely vegetarian lasagna with ingredients from their own garden, which is hard to find in Colombia. The place felt built with love and passion, and was well cared for, with a beautiful forest full of birds and butterflies. Her daughter's wall paintings were beautiful too.

We spent a few days here and really enjoyed it. The hosts are very friendly and have made a small, valuable private reserve with plenty of wildlife. Birdwatching was excellent, and the food was tasty. There are lots of birding hotspots nearby, so it's a good choice for birders and nature lovers.

Martha and her family have made a wonderful reserve, with plenty of wildlife on site, including a family of night monkeys. Our overnight accommodation was very comfortable, the meals were delightful, and the hosting was lovely. A guide also took us out to see some amazing sights.

A fantastic birding trip, with warm, wonderful people who can help you find the birds of the llanos and the surrounding areas. The rooms are simple and clean, just right for crashing after a full day of birding. The Colombian food is classic and simple, prepared to the highest standard I've seen in South America. I'd recommend it to any birder.
