A shower door made of glass was broken and fell on me. I had to take a taxi to the hospital at my own expense, and since I'm pregnant, it was a huge scare. They didn't offer a refund or anything to make it right. The room was full of ants and had broken, dirty, rotten old furniture. I couldn't believe it. It was also very noisy. The bathroom window faced the stairs where guests were constantly walking and talking, while the room window looked onto the street just above the hotel gate. People had to ring an especially loud, annoying doorbell to get in. Breakfast was in temperatures over 30 degrees, and there was no air conditioning or fan in the room or patio. The worst place on a human level, with zero professionalism. This is a scam. Do not go.

The staff were lovely and well informed about tours, and they could also explain buses and other options if you didn't want a tour. The hostel was very organized, messaging everyone on WhatsApp the night before to ask which breakfast option they wanted. It's the best breakfast I've had so far in Colombia. Fabulous place, highly recommend.

Rooms and common areas were very clean, the staff were nice, and breakfast came hot and fresh each morning. There are cheaper places nearby, so you're clearly paying for air conditioning and things like that. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting riohacha who needs air conditioning.

After a trip through the La Guajira desert, this was perfect. The hostel was nice, and I upgraded to the hotel for my last night. Great value.

Simple but good. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and I felt my money was well spent.
