The morning breakfast is included and really generous, with plenty of fresh fruit as well as bread, eggs, ham, coffee, and juice. The cottages are lovely and affordable, set in an agricultural area on the edge of town. Each one is private and has its own washroom. The property feels safe and secure, with parking on site. Shops, restaurants, and the town center are all a short walk away. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Salento!

Alba was a wonderful host and went out of her way for us, even though our Spanish wasn’t very good. The cabanas are clean and comfortable, though a little older, so don’t expect luxury. The place is tucked on the edge of Solento, peaceful and full of birdlife, but still close to bars and restaurants. We had a great stay.

The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. It’s an easy walk to the main square. But our room was cramped and very small. The TV wasn’t really watchable, since it sits right beside the headrests between the beds, so removing it might make the space better. A lamp would also help, as the main light felt uncomfortable in the evening. They provide only small bars of soap, and there’s no hairdryer. Payment is cash only. There was plenty of noise from dogs and other animals, even though I know that’s hard to prevent. Other reviews had described the place as peaceful. On Sunday morning, we were woken before 6am by lots of bells and people shouting and screaming.

Breakfast was tasty and came in really big portions, and the rooms were clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, and the garden is gorgeous, packed with all sorts of plants. There are birds all around, and we managed to see hummingbirds every day. They also keep ducks in the garden. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the main square. If you’re coming to Salento, this is the best place to stay.
