The person who rented us the apartment asked for our tourist cards, which are needed to enter the island, as soon as we arrived. They kept them until we checked out, saying otherwise we wouldn’t get the full payment. That felt inappropriate and left us feeling unsafe. The apartment was in poor shape from the start: it was very dirty, smelled strongly of must, the kitchen couldn’t be used, and the sheets clearly weren’t clean. There were also leaks in both the bathroom and living area, making things uncomfortable and even creating a slipping risk. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The cleanliness, condition of the apartment, and unprofessional handling by the host all hurt our vacation.

Karina, the owner, was always willing to help with anything we needed, and so was her father, Fabio. They’re both wonderful people and live at the place where we stayed. It was simple but comfortable, and my partner and I spent 11 days there with no complaints.
