The apartment itself had a spacious living area, a lovely patio, and a good kitchen with a gas range, microwave, and sink. Wi-Fi worked decently in the bedrooms, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach. The location was less convenient after 9pm, since nearby restaurants and little shops were closed. If the weather turned bad, there wasn’t much else to do, and downtown would be more convenient. I won’t be back and would suggest looking for an Airbnb downtown. The owner’s manner made the stay difficult. After our long flight, he sat us down as soon as we arrived and spent 30 minutes explaining how he wanted us to use the apartment. That could have waited or been sent in a text. During our three days, he knocked several times and interrupted us, when a quick message would have been fine. When the toilet broke, which can happen, he questioned me because it had apparently been working earlier. I expected service, not to be interrogated. At checkout, I asked if we could have another 15 or 30 minutes and got a firm no. That was his choice, but his tone and demeanor bothered me. I’d been respectful throughout and try to support small business owners who work hard. He also said I couldn’t leave until he had inspected the room, which was fine. I don’t enjoy leaving a review that could affect someone’s business, and I want to be fair. I depend on other people’s reviews when booking, so I’m sharing what happened as objectively as I can.
