The central location in San Andress is good, with stores all around.

Hotel Tower is two blocks from the beach, with shops and restaurants all around, which is a big plus. The hotel itself is nice, and I had a good stay overall, though the staff could improve some things. The buffet was good, especially the fish. Get there early, because a long line forms and they only put out a limited number of trays.

There are some real service exceptions: Jessica genuinely cares about guests and helped us out. I'd recommend her for any customer-facing or guest-care role, and I'd hire her myself. A young man was helpful too, though I didn't catch his name. The rest of the employees mostly acted like we were a bother. The facilities are run down and need repairs. Many rooms have broken air conditioning, the hot tub is cold, and the food is far below acceptable. I could write a whole article about food safety issues. The activities desk staff tried to charge us for activities already included in our package, until Jessica stepped in. We asked about a lockbox or safe and were told the one in our room was missing. They told us to come back in an hour. After three trips back and a facilities worker getting angry about our request, someone finally brought a small electric combination safe to the room. He left it on a shelf without installing it, which made it useless. He gave us the pin, but wouldn't explain how to reset it ourselves, as hotels normally do. That left him with the keys to our room and the safe pin. We didn't use it. Avoid this hotel.

Our rooms weren't very good or properly clean, but I was really satisfied with the service from Alicia Hudgson. We had several problems booking through "Viajes Exito", and she was amazing, empathetic and understanding.
