The people were nice, and there were a few vegan choices. I had lunch here and really liked the garbanzos. I'd love to come back and try the ensalada griega clásica.

We had a lovely stay in a spacious room, with kind staff and an excellent breakfast. The host was especially great and invited us to a concert in the library. It was three hours of good music, speeches, food, and drinks.

My girlfriend and I have stayed here three times. It's easily one of Colombia's best hotels, and we'd have returned sooner if the pool playlist changed. They played the same track every day for years, and after hearing it so often we started going a little crazy. Aside from that, five stars.

09/2025: Updated review This was my second stay at Hotel Mariscal Robledo. The historic beauty and peaceful feel are still special, but this visit made me unsure about coming back. Check-in was easy. After that, as a woman traveling alone, I felt the staff treated me with needless chauvinism. They kept addressing me as a group, and even changed my name from "Andrea" to "Andres" on the breakfast list. I felt invisible. Breakfast and dinner service was slower and less attentive than what other guests seemed to get, and I often had to find someone myself. It left me feeling unwelcome. The advertised amenities also disappointed. Smoke from the parking garage drifted toward the pool, which made the smoke-free claim feel hollow. Employees had loud conversations there too, even though the pool is supposed to be a quiet space. Dinner took more than 15 minutes just for anyone to acknowledge me, then another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. For a hotel of this caliber, that slow, inattentive service really detracted from the stay. There was a smart TV in the room, but no internet connection. The network settings were blocked, so guests were stuck with outdated DirecTV, and there was no sleep timer. The hotel still has its charm, but the chauvinism, poor service, and dated amenities have me questioning whether I'd stay again. 08/2023: Stupendous hotel with one of a kind amenities. Services are amazing, amenities are perfect to enjoy your stay in Santafe de Antioquía. The entire hotel is a museum of Antioquía's cultural Legacy. Guest and staff are mindful of appropriate noise levels, making your stay as relaxing as possible. If you are looking for a quiet place, look no further. Breakfast options are locally-sourced farm-to-table, highlighting traditional Colombian flavours. Internet connection is really good, in case you need to work remotely. If you are a book worm, I'd recommend spending some meaningful time at the library, a place I found truly remarkable.
