The management lacked empathy and flexibility, which led to needless discomfort for guests. Even though breakfast was included, they wouldn’t serve it, saying it was no longer available. There was no hot water, and the hotel is in an area that feels very unsafe at night, making it hard to get a good rest. The facilities themselves were nice and in good condition, and there are good restaurants nearby. The staff on site were very friendly, as far as the hotel management allowed them to be.

Such a lovely little apartment, and the breakfast and coffee in the rooms were free and good. The rooftop pool is a real little haven, one of the nicest we’ve found in Colombia. Amazing value!

The location is awesome, quiet at night but close to the restaurant row, and we felt completely safe. The bathrooms and hot shower were great. The people working here are amazing and incredibly helpful. The only thing I didn’t love was breakfast. It’s continental, and anything else costs extra, though the prices are minimal. Most rooms have a small kitchenette, so you can make whatever you like. Value 4/5, atmosphere 5/5, service 5/5, quality 5/5, 19/20.

The employees’ attitude was another problem. Since the laundry was late, we were in a hurry and couldn’t check it properly. It came in a black plastic bag, unfolded. When I called to complain after seeing its condition, the employee said he wouldn’t do anything because we’d already checked out. I know the delay wasn’t his fault, but when I requested the laundry service, he clearly said it would be folded and delivered to my room before checkout. He didn’t even apologize. The laundry was awful. It didn’t get cleaned or dried at all, and it was still wet and stinky. It also arrived an hour late, so we had to wait. The kitchen items were so old and dirty that I couldn’t cook. They looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a year, and the smell was disgusting. Casa bugambilia looked like a fancy, nice hotel, but the reality was completely different, and I’m really disappointed. If you stay here and have a problem, don’t expect anything. Make sure you complain before checking out. Once guests leave, apparently they’re no longer guests.
