Casa de Leda, a Kali Hotel

Casa de Leda is a gorgeous boutique hotel, ideally placed for walking around Santa Marta’s main sights. We loved the clean, spacious rooms and high ceilings. The staff were friendly, and the rooftop pool and lobby pool were great, especially with the sauna. The breakfast view was beautiful, and the breakfast staff were so lovely. When I said I was vegan and planned to get another serving of fruit, one of the women surprised me with a tofu scramble. 10/10.

The city center location is excellent, and the hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Ariana and Denis at reception, along with Maria and Alice from the breakfast team, were especially friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, with local food and generous portions. A few things made the stay less comfortable: the shower water was barely warm, the two pools were so small I’m not sure they count as swimming pools, and the music can get loud at night, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. The ceiling fan also made an annoying noise, so I couldn’t leave it on while sleeping.

The staff were fantastic from the start. Ariana and Josue at the front desk were very kind, as were the kitchen staff. The hotel is lovely and centrally located, the room was a good size, and the bathroom, especially the shower and sink, looked beautiful. Breakfast is à la carte, and some portions are large, so ask about the sizes to avoid wasting food. The rooftop pool was smaller and less scenic or cozy than we expected, and there’s no bar service. The central location is great, though Parque de los Novios can sometimes get loud at night, so noise-sensitive guests may prefer somewhere farther away.

The people at Hotel Casa de Leda made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Arianna and the rest of the staff were welcoming, attentive, and ready to help with anything, always with a kind attitude. The hotel is beautiful and the service is top-tier. We also had one of the best breakfasts we’ve eaten anywhere, but the staff’s care and professionalism stood out most. You’ll be in good hands at Casa de Leda. Highly recommend!
