The owners make you feel like family. This has to be one of the best places to stay in Rodadero.

The place was dirty, full of cockroaches, and in bad condition. After we came back from the beach and saw how bad it was, we left.

Breakwater House sits in the heart of Rodadero, between the modern and the classic. It feels like a peaceful refuge, surrounded by navigable canals and mangroves full of marine life and beautiful endemic birds. From the deck behind the main house, or the bridge to the property, you can watch schools of fish spawning or caught up in the frenzy of fertilization. It's a spectacular sight. The owners, Carmen Barrios and her husband, Roberto Lemaitre, run the house exceptionally well. They're delightful, charming people, and their travel tips can help make for a fantastic vacation.

The setting is peaceful, and I loved the connection with nature. My room stayed clean, the water temperature was comfortable, and the AC worked without any problems. The staff were very friendly, and the place is only four blocks from Rodadero beach. I enjoyed the experience.
