I haven't stayed overnight, but I think the food and service stack up well against nearby places. The lunch menu is hard to beat under 20000 pesos in El Centro. I saw someone mention finding a roach in their meal, though I seriously doubt that happened. It also wouldn't surprise me if some of the one-star reviews came from competitors, but that's only a possibility.

There was a roach floating on top of my soup. I wouldn't eat here. Walk a few blocks to casa ribautt for really good Colombian food, for only $3k cop more than this place.

Great spot, and the air conditioning works really well. The food is tasty and inexpensive. The bathroom could use a better cleaning, but for someone on a tight budget, I'd recommend staying here.

Run by a family, so the place feels homey. The rooms are basic but clean, with AC, TVs, and good Wi-Fi. It's a short walk from the main plaza, just a few blocks away. A simple, dependable place to sleep in Santa Marta, with a restaurant too.
