The owners were very responsive, and I would have rated the place four stars if so many things hadn’t been broken. The mattresses and pillows were worn out. When I last spoke with the owners, they said they wanted to replace them all. The rooftop is a nice spot to hang out, with three hammocks shared by four apartments, so it’s first come, first served. There’s also a BBQ grill. It’s basic, but great to have in Colombia, and they should show it off instead of hiding it. The kitchen is open plan, with no AC, but it’s spacious and functional. It’s a bit of a walk to the main beach and nightlife, around 20-30 minutes to get places on foot. Or you can take a moto taxi for $1-2 and get there in minutes. In Washington DC, would a 20-minute trip really seem too far?
