The manager was super friendly and flexible about things like check-in time and breakfast time. And she made the BEST breakfasts, tasty and filling! It gets quite hot in Santa Marta in December, so some air conditioning would be nice, though there is a ceiling fan that at least moves some air around the room. The hotel's street didn't feel like the safest, but it wasn't the worst either.

A really good price for a great room, close to the historic center, local restaurants, and shops. The woman working there was lovely and helpful. The location is the reason I can't give five stars. I noticed it felt less safe when I arrived at night, and several locals, including my walking tour guide, warned me about the area. Nothing happened to me, and with ordinary safety precautions and some adjustments to how you act, especially at night, I'm sure you'll be fine.

The service was excellent and the facilities very good. It's close to everything around the Bay Area, downtown, and the market. Highly recommend it.

The hostel was really convenient for catching buses and is near the port of Santa Marta. They also let us leave our things in a room while we went to Tayrona National Park, then returned the next day. We had booked a private room with a bathroom for four, and Elena, the hotel manager, stayed up late to welcome us. She was so warm and hospitable, quick to reply to our messages, and shared lots of useful information. We highly recommend this hostel.
