The Saturday night noise was a real problem. The nightclub across the street and the other clubs nearby blasted music until 4:00am. We were ready to ask for a refund for our remaining 4 nights and leave. The clubs were closed Sunday through Thursday, though, and I'm glad we gave the hotel another chance. Friday and Saturday would be hard if you're not planning to stay out late, because sleep seems unlikely at all. Apart from that, we had a really good stay. The staff were fantastic, attentive, and friendly. We didn't speak much Spanish, but they still helped us with everything we needed. We mentioned a small plumbing issue before heading out for the day, and it was fixed by the time we returned. Breakfast was hot and freshly made each day, usually eggs, fruit, and toast, waffles, or tortilla. The rooms and shared spaces were clean and well kept. The building is a bit dated and could use some upgrades, but that didn't bother us given its age. I'd recommend it to budget travelers who want to be in the middle of old downtown.

The location is perfect and the staff are great. Staying in central Santa Marta means dealing with noise, and it really is extremely noisy. I knew that beforehand, accepted it, and it didn't bother me too much.

The room was small and basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful, and the location is great, just one block from center park.

The pool was what we loved most, especially since we were with a 9year old who enjoyed it. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops, so everything's within walking distance. Our room was clean and well kept, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was simple but okay, with eggs, fruit, toast, and a wafel. We didn't care for the cocktail at the restaurant, and the pizza could have been better because it was burned.

The hotel and its staff are lovely, which makes the noise such a shame. It's right in the entertainment district, with bars around it playing loud, conflicting music until 3:00 am. Even the earplugs they provide didn't make it possible to sleep. I won't stay here again.
