I work online and was traveling solo, and Puerta Aqua was a wonderful place to stay. My room was spacious and clean, with a desk and excellent WiFi. The whole team was warm and the food was great, which made the visit memorable. I’d absolutely stay here again.

A good place to stay in Santa Marta, with a nice rooftop, good air conditioning, and a good shower. The rooms are quiet if you pick one away from the street. It’s not a very social hostal, though. Most of the staff were friendly, but the guy checking me in could at least have offered to help with my bags.

The rooftop is a nice extra, though the jacuzzi wasn’t working. I didn’t really need it in the Santa Marta heat anyway. The hostel was clean, with spacious private rooms and a strong hot shower. The receptionist was chill, and the daytime lady was especially helpful, friendly, and smiley. She really went above and beyond. I’d come back.

A great choice if you need somewhere central, close to the bus stop for Tayrona. The rooms are spacious, and the beds have curtains. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and they stored my luggage free for four days while I was hiking around. Kevin went above and beyond to help me get a bus to Bogota during the Semana Santa high season. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were excellent and very helpful. Awesome hostel, just off the Main Street in Santa Marta.
