Senda Kokkos Beach

The design is lovely, and everything felt clean and well looked after, from the hallways to the rooms. The staff were so friendly, and the comfort and quality were impressive for the price. I’d definitely recommend Senda Kokos hotel.

We paid luxury hotel rates for a place that felt more like a hostel, including the food and service. Management cancelled our Booking.com reservation and had us pay them directly, then put us in worse rooms. The restaurant took over an hour to serve our food, our room wasn’t very clean, and there weren’t enough pool towels. Staff were unhelpful even when speaking Spanish, wouldn’t take responsibility or try to fix problems, and just blamed someone else or the guest. Extremely poor value, I’d avoid it.

The hotel is very good, with great food and a fantastic, helpful team. It’s close to Tayrona Park, too. Just be aware that swimming is almost always not allowed because the currents are strong. Nothing else to complain about.

We missed our reservation after Senda Kokkos took close to $1k from us but didn’t help arrange the transfer from Cartagena. Trying to sort it out through the front desk was a mess: WhatsApp messages went unanswered, nobody picked up the phone, and after emailing Senda Group, they told us to contact the hotel. Email replies took 24 hours for anything at all, except when it was about cancelling, then they responded right away. Once it was clear we couldn’t make it, they quickly said “NO REFUNDS.” Honestly, I don’t know how they stay in business. Record holiday with the family.
