Tama Hotel Santa Marta

There’s a beach right behind the hotel, with lovely water and fish you can watch dancing. It’s nice for a nighttime walk, too, with tiny crabs wandering around. A restaurant is nearby, and the staff are attentive, friendly, and quick to address concerns. The place is eco sustainable and Eco friendly, with a reasonable breakfast and facilities for a 3 star hotel. Bring your own water and shampoo, though soap is available in the shower for all body. Highly recommended.

The staff were very kind, and the beachfront terrace has a lovely view, though the chairs and tables need cleaning. The beach is quiet, with few vendors, and you can walk a long way. Rooms are okay and quiet, but the safe didn’t work, the WiFi kept cutting out, and the shower had almost no water. The pool is tiny, more like a jacuzzi. Breakfast was buffet style and the same each morning, with only a few small changes. There aren’t many restaurants nearby, so you’ll need a taxi or bus to get to Santa Martha or the Rodadero. The à la carte restaurant has a nice menu.

We had a beach view room on the 5th floor, which felt very romantic, and the rooms are lovely. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Most of the employees were extremely friendly and professional. My one complaint is the very stiff mattresses. Because of my neck problem, I struggled to sleep and woke up sore every morning. I’m older, though, and nobody else here complained about them. This little resort is really, really nice if you want a relaxing getaway out of the way, and I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful week and the food was really good. The staff were kind and always ready to help, and I especially want to mention Julio, who was attentive and kept an eye on what guests needed. The administrator was excellent, friendly, and committed to taking good care of guests and providing good service. It’s a warm place for the family to rest, and one of the best hotel stays I’ve had.
