Hotel Tayrona Rodadero

Once we finally got into our room, it was nice, and the view was great. The staff get a 2 from me, though they might improve. We arrived as a big group on the same day, but even with each room assigned to an individual, we spent most of the day in the lobby waiting for the person who booked them to arrive. They could reach that person by phone. I offered to pay for all the reserved rooms so my one year old and friends could get out of the lobby, but they refused. Sitting there did make for an interesting day, and some of the complaints we overheard were pretty alarming. Our room was on the fifth floor, with no elevator up there, so anyone with an infant or a disability should be ready to carry a stroller up the stairs or crawl.

Everything, private and shared, was kept clean and set up nicely. The food was tasty and seemed well balanced, too. The staff went out of their way to help us more than once.

It was a very quiet area, close to the beach and other amenities, and the staff were amazing. The place was super clean and went well beyond what we expected. It’s the best of the other three star hotels I’ve stayed at.

The pool is really nice, and the food is okay. The employees were the best part, such lovely people. The rooms are small, most of the hotel has no hot water, and it gets very noisy at night.
